This bathing beach is located in Pineto, Abruzzo and is characterized by sandy sediment with dunale vegetation protected to a depth of approximately 7–10 metres. The beach has an excellent water quality classification. The area experiences minimal phytoplankton blooms during summer months, with rare dinoflagellate occurrences that lack toxic species.

Water

Coastal water body in the Pianura Litoranea (Plain Coast) zone with medium stability (C2 category). Beach width is 20 metres. The bathing area extends 1.785 square kilometres.

Location

Pineto, Province of Teramo, Abruzzo region, Italy. The beach is situated 100 meters north of the mouth of the Le Foggette stream. The responsible authority is the Municipality of Pineto, Public Works and Environment Department, Via Milano 1, 64025 Pineto.

Facilities

No public services are present in the zone except those provided by private concessionaires of state-owned maritime land. Animal access is regulated according to the Torre del Cerrano Marine Protected Area regulations.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is Excellent. No industrial or urban discharge occurs near the beach. All wastewater is directed to a treatment facility located in Contrada Piane Vomano, managed by Ruzzo Servizi S.p.A. The urbanized area uses a separate sewer system; black water goes to a treatment plant on the south bank of the Vomano River, while stormwater is conveyed to the sea and natural watercourses.
