A sandy beach located in the Rossano Cassano Allo Ionio water body near the mouth of the Torrente Malfrancato in Calabria. The beach faces forested, agricultural, and artificially modified territories to the south. The seabed has a gentle slope of 2.3% from the shore to the 5-metre isobath, with single underwater bars or cordons present. Sediment grain size ranges from 0.018 to 2 mm (medium sand).

Corigliano Calabro, Cosenza Province, Calabria region, Italy. The bathing water is located 100 metres to the right of the Salice canal.

Water quality classification: Good. No active specific pollution measures are currently in place.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events identified: runoff from agricultural and urban areas near the Torrente Malfrancato mouth. No cyanobacterial or algal blooms reported in the past four years.
