Coastal water body. Area: 1.167 square kilometers. The water body is part of the Bonifati-Guardia Piemontese hydrographic system, with the Fosso S.Giacomo being a relevant watercourse.

Location

Cetraro, province of Cosenza, Calabria region. The bathing area is located 100 metres to the right of the Aron River (Fiume Aron).

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. Short-duration pollution events are characterised by urban runoff from the Fosso S.Giacomo watercourse. No specific management measures are currently active.

Risks

The bathing water may be affected by short-duration pollution events due to urban runoff. No cyanobacterial or algal blooms have been recorded in the past four years.
