Water Quality

Water quality classification is excellent (elevato). The bathing water is monitored according to Directive 2006/7/EC. One urban treatment plant serving over 2,000 population equivalents is active in the municipality. No specific monitoring is currently active to measure pollutant concentrations during the bathing season. Shellfish farming is identified as a source of impact on bathing water.

Risks

No anomalous situations have been recorded. No events of short-duration pollution have been characterized to date. A suitable modeling approach for short-duration pollution is still under study.
