Location

Ladispoli, Lazio region, Rome province. Located between Rio Fiume and Pratica di Mare. The area includes a beach with groins (pennelli) and a bathing establishment.

Equipped beach areas present. Stabilimento balneare (bathing establishment) operating. Groins and beach structure available.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is elevated. No specific monitoring for pollutant concentration and diffusion is currently active during the bathing season. One urban treatment plant serving over 2000 inhabitants equivalent exists in the reference municipality.

Risks

The area is subject to blooms of potentially toxic macroalgae and microalgae. An appropriate modelling approach for short-duration pollution events is still under study. Shellfish farming activities are present.
