Location

Scalea, Calabria, Italy, in the province of Cosenza. The bathing area is situated in the body of water between Scalea and Santa Maria del Cedro.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. The area is located in front of artificially modified territories. Short-term pollution events are attributed to urban runoff. Currently no specific mitigation measures are in place.

Risks

Short-term pollution events may occur due to urban runoff from the Canale Basso. No cyanobacterial or algal blooms have been recorded in the past four years.
