Ovest Foce Fiume Pollina is a coastal bathing area located at the mouth of the Pollina River near Costa Turchina in Sicily. The beach features mixed sand and gravel with Mediterranean vegetation. The water body is classified as excellent for bathing quality based on monitoring from 2019 to 2024.

Coastal water body at the mouth of the Pollina River. The beach comprises mixed sand and gravel. The Palermo-Pollina hydrographic basin is the relevant water basin.

Location

Located near Costa Turchina in the municipality of Pollina, Province of Palermo, Sicily. The bathing area extends 360 metres along coordinates 38.0191-14.1732 to 38.0204-14.1769. Accessibility was a criterion used for site identification.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is Excellent for the period 2019-2024. No bathing bans are in place. No cyanobacterial proliferation events have been reported. No macroalgae, phytoplankton, or potentially toxic species proliferation events have been reported.
