Coastal marine bathing area. Extension area: 619 metres.

Location

Anzio, Rome Province, Lazio Region. The bathing area extends from Lido dei Pini to Grotte di Nerone. Located 250 metres to the right of the mouth of Fosso Schiavo.

Facilities

Beach establishment with equipped areas present.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: elevated. Quality parameters are monitored at the 95th and 90th percentiles. No specific monitoring programmes are currently active to monitor pollutant concentrations and limit their diffusion during the bathing season. Mollusk farming is identified as a pollution source.

Risks

Adjacent watercourses and significant urbanized areas are present. Approaches to modelling short-duration pollution events are still under study.
