Location

Located in Tarquinia, Province of Viterbo, Lazio region. The bathing area is identified on the Mignone river between Fiume Mignone and Rio Fiume.

Facilities

Sandy beach with equipped bathing establishment facilities.

Water Quality

Classification: Elevated. Water quality monitoring results show 95th and 90th percentile parameters at elevated level. Mollusc farming is present as a source of pollution. At present, no specific monitoring programmes are active to monitor pollutant concentrations and limit their spread.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events are still under study for appropriate modelling approach. The area is not subject to toxic macroalgae or microalgae blooms.
