The water quality is classified as elevated based on 95th and 90th percentile parameter values. One active urban wastewater treatment plant serving more than 2000 population equivalents operates in the reference municipality. Specific monitoring for pollutant concentration and diffusion limitation is not currently active. Shellfish cultivation is present as a source of impact.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events are under study regarding appropriate modelling approaches. Cyanobacterial and macroalgal proliferation events are not reported for the past four years.
