A sandy and pebbly beach located 50 metres to the left of the Torrente Acquafetida stream in the Calabria region. The beach is situated in an area with an articulated coastal geomorphology. The bathing water has been classified as excellent quality.

Location

Acquappesa, in the province of Cosenza, Calabria. The bathing area is adjacent to artificially modified territories.

Water Quality

Classification: Excellent quality. A treatment plant is in operation for wastewater management.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events have been identified from urban stormwater runoff. No cyanobacterial or macroalgal blooms have been recorded in the last four years.
