Coastal marine water body. Extension area: 1140 metres. Located between Mignone River and Rio Fiume in the Mignone-Arrone Sud hydrological basin.

Location

Santa Marinella, Rome Province, Lazio Region, Italy. The bathing area is situated between the Mignone River and Rio Fiume, 50 metres to the right of the Fosso Cupo stream mouth.

Facilities

Beach equipped with facilities and services. Details of specific infrastructure are limited to presence of mooring areas and other equipment.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: elevated. Two urban treatment plants with capacity greater than 2000 inhabitant equivalents are active in Santa Marinella municipality. Mollusk culture activities are present in the area. No specific monitoring for pollutant concentration is currently active during the bathing season.

Risks

Shellfish farming activities present. Presence of nearby stream mouths and significant urbanized areas adjacent to the bathing zone. No cyanobacterial blooms or toxic macroalgae and microalgae proliferation recorded in this zone.
