Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008–2011). No active coastal wastewater treatment plants or Imhoff tanks are present in the area. No cyanobacterial blooms have been recorded, attributed to oligotrophic conditions in the Ligurian Sea. No cases of toxic algal strain proliferation have been documented in the past four years.
