Almenäs badplats is the largest and most visited bathing beach in Borås city, attracting over 3,000 visitors on sunny summer days. It features a 125 to 150 metre sandy beach located in the inland lake Öresjö, approximately 6 km² in area, in the northern part of central Borås. The beach is classified as an EU bathing water and is part of the water body Öresjö, reported under the Water Framework Directive.
