Rond-Point beach is located on Lake Guerlédan, the largest artificial lake in Brittany, created by the Guerlédan dam on the Blavet river in 1930. The beach is situated on the commune of Guerlédan (Mûr de Bretagne) in Côtes-d'Armor, at the border between Morbihan and Côtes-d'Armor departments. The lake has a length of 12 km, a surface area of 400 hectares, and a maximum depth of 40 metres at the dam. The bathing water profile was updated in 2019 to assess vulnerability to pollution and identify risks to bather health.
