During the bathing season, the site experiences average rainfall of 10.5 mm, average air temperature of 27 °C, prevailing northwesterly winds, and approximately 10 hours of daily sunshine.

Water Quality

Water quality classification in 2024 complies with Decreto-Lei 135/09 amended by Decreto-Lei 113/2012. The bathing water is not subject to any negative influence affecting its microbiological quality. No pollution episodes are expected to occur. Short-term pollution risk is unlikely or low. No days of bathing advisories or bans due to short-term pollution events occurred during the 2024 bathing season.

Potential for cyanobacteria proliferation is unlikely. Potential for macroalgae proliferation is unlikely. Potential for phytoplankton proliferation is unlikely. No alert system is implemented due to low pollution risk based on historical water quality data.
