Badesee Oberglinde Freibad

Badesee Oberglinde is a bathing lake (former gravel pit) located 2 km southeast of the city of Uetersen in the Oberglinde district of Moorrege municipality. The bathing area is supervised by the DLRG (German Life Saving Association) weekdays from 14:00 to 20:00 and on weekends and during school holidays from 09:00 to 20:00. Entry and parking are free of charge.

Location

Located 2 km southeast of Uetersen in the Oberglinde district of Moorreke municipality. Free parking available.

Facilities

DLRG lifeguards present weekdays 14:00–20:00 and weekends/holidays 09:00–20:00.

Monitoring season runs from May through September 2025 (assessments on 19 May, 10 June, 7 July, 4 August, and 1 September).

Risks

Short-term microbiological contamination with a clearly identifiable cause may occur unpredictably and is not normally expected to affect water quality beyond 72 hours. During such contamination events, swimming is prohibited due to increased infection risk.
