La Muie is a bathing water located in the commune of Salernes in the Var department of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, situated approximately 10 kilometres south of Aups and 22 kilometres west of Draguignan. The bathing area is notable for its tourism infrastructure and proximity to the Gorges du Verdon. Water quality management has been a priority for successive municipal administrations, with efforts focused on reducing wastewater and stormwater discharges into the Bresque.
