Banco Gisira is a rocky coastal bathing area located near the village of Brucoli in Augusta, Sicily. The area features various tourist structures and residential complexes used primarily during summer months. It is situated between the Anapo River and San Leonardo River. The site was classified as Excellent for water quality between 2010 and 2014.

Coastal water body. Rocky coastline with wide bathing area. Located between Fiume Anapo and Fiume San Leonardo.

Location

Augusta-Brucoli, Province of Syracuse, Sicily. The bathing area is located along a rocky coast with multiple access points frequented by residents and guests of the Valtur tourist village.

Facilities

Tratto di costa libero (free coastal access). Tourist structures and residential complexes in the vicinity. Animals are permitted in the area.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2010–2014). No bathing prohibitions were present.

Risks

Ostreopsis sp. was detected in 2012–2013. Cyanobacterial proliferation was classified as not determinable (ND).
