Berglsteiner See, West is a relatively shallow lake with a maximum depth of 2 metres and an area of 2.36 hectares. The lake bed is largely covered with a thick layer of deposited natural material such as leaves. Previous aquatic ecological investigations indicate at least partial high nutrient loading.
