Bijele stijene is a natural rocky beach located on the island of Lokrum near Dubrovnik, Croatia. The beach stretches 770 metres in length with an average width of 30 metres and features a mild coastal slope. It is situated within a protected area and is characterized by low bather density during the swimming season. The beach is surrounded by low and high vegetation and is accessible by pedestrian path.

Natural coastal sea water with average temperature of 23.23°C during the season. Salinity ranges from 29.3 to 39 ppt. Tide amplitude is 22 cm. Underwater coastal slope is moderate (15 to 25 degrees). Prevailing wind direction is north.

Lokrum island, Dubrovnik, Croatia. Accessible by pedestrian path. No parking available.

Facilities

Restaurant available. No boat docking facilities. No sea-side protection structures.

Season

Monitoring conducted year-round with annual assessments and four-year evaluation periods.

Water Quality

Water quality has been monitored annually with 10 samples per year from 2010 onwards. Assessment periods show consistent monitoring with 40 samples covering four-year periods. The beach is classified under both Croatian national regulations and EU Directive 2006/7/EC.
