Boviksbadet

Boviksbadet is a bathing beach located in Rannersviken in Boviksfjärden, approximately 12 km northeast of Skellefteå. The beach consists of a sandy strand approximately 220 m long and 45 m in average width, with an additional narrower sandy beach with larger stones below the camping area. The water is shallow with a sandy bottom extending to deeper water, and the beach is continuously rebuilt with sand due to sea currents and land uplift. Dogs are prohibited on the main beach but a designated dog bathing beach is located immediately east of the camping area.

Boviksfjärden (EU_CD: SE644730-210650). Sandy bottom. A small stream flows into the beach but is not classified as a water body.

Boviksfjärden, approximately 12 km northeast of Skellefteå. Parking available at the camping area.

Facilities

Toilets, changing rooms, children's play area, wooden accessibility structure, grilling areas, wind shelters, kiosk, mini-golf, volleyball net, waste bins, boat dock suitable for most recreational boat sizes. Camping area with service building including toilets and shower, kitchen with stove and microwave, service shop and cafeteria with basic meals. Defibrillator available at camping reception.

Water Quality

Excellent water quality (Utmärkt kvalitet) recorded in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. The water body received Good ecological status in the preliminary 2015 classification. Phosphorus and nitrogen parameters were slightly elevated in measurements between 2011 and 2013. Chemical status excluding mercury is not classified. Wastewater and water for permanent residents and summer cottages around Boviksfjärden and the camping area were connected to the municipal sewerage system in 2014.
