Cabasson Beach is located in Bormes-les-Mimosas in the Var department of southeastern France. The beach profile was prepared in June 2020 following European Directive 2006/7/CE requirements for bathing water quality management. The site is classified as a Type 1 bathing water profile under French regulations.

Facilities

The beach is equipped with a marking plan system (dispositif du plan de balisage) for the bathing zone.

Water Quality

Water quality monitoring includes bacteriological analysis, transparency measurements, and assessment of algae and cyanobacteria. The profile includes evaluation of water renewal and potential for algal proliferation.

Risks

Potential pollution sources identified in the study area include domestic wastewater, stormwater and runoff, and diffuse pollution sources. Cases of dermatitis were investigated.
