Cala Azzurra is a coastal bathing area located on the island of Favignana in the Tyrrhenian Sea. The seafloor is predominantly rocky, interspersed with small sandy coves. The beach is approximately 5 metres wide and experiences high visitor numbers during the summer season. The area is situated within the Egadi Islands Marine Protected Area.

Location

Favignana, Trapani Province, Sicily. Coordinates: LAT 37.9087–37.9090, LONG 12.3599–12.3620. The bathing area covers approximately 0.200 square kilometres and is located away from the town centre.

Facilities

Bar, tourist village, and hotel structures are available in the area. Animal access is prohibited as per regional decree DDG 476/2007.

Season

Summer season. Monitoring and review scheduled for 2028.

Water quality classification: Excellent. No pollution sources have been identified. Wastewater treatment information was not communicated by the competent authority.
