Juanzito is a bathing area on Lake Como in the Lecco shoreline region. It features a pebbly beach approximately 70 metres wide. The area is equipped with a bar, restaurant, and equipped beach facility (lido). Animals are permitted at this bathing site.

Location

Valbrona municipality, Como province, Lombardy region, Italy. Altitude 210 metres above sea level. Located on the eastern (Lecco) shore of Lake Como.

Facilities

Bar, restaurant, equipped beach (lido), animal access permitted.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is Excellent for the reference period 2019–2022. No anthropogenic activities are known to promote eutrophication and cyanobacterial growth. No threshold exceedances have been recorded in the past four years. No toxic effects on swimmers, lake users, or the aquatic environment have been documented. No previous algal bloom events have been recorded.

Risks

Possible short-term pollution events from soil runoff, water stagnation, and various discharges during unfavourable meteorological conditions such as severe weather events. Potential accidental or unauthorised discharge of wastewater or contaminating debris.
