Location

Crotone, Calabria, Italy. The bathing area is located in the municipality of Crotone, facing agricultural territories to the south.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. No specific control measures are currently in place. Potential pollution sources identified include three streams: Vallone Scifo, Vallone S. Spirito, and Vallone Campione I, which discharge into the bathing area.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events identified from stormwater runoff originating from agricultural land. Cyanobacterial proliferation has not been verified in the past four years. Macroalgae and phytoplankton proliferation has not been verified in the past four years.
