Isola Capo Rizzuto, Crotone province, Calabria region. The bathing area is located in front of agricultural zones between Contrada Cannella and the inhabited centre of Isola di Capo Rizzuto.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: excellent. No specific pollution control measures are currently active.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events from surface runoff from agricultural areas have been identified. The outlet of Canale Fossa dell'Acqua is identified as a pollution source. Cyanobacterial proliferation has not occurred in the past four years. Macroalgae and phytoplankton proliferation has not been verified.
