Casello 217 is a bathing water area located along the Calabrian coast near Strongoli. The beach features sandy substrate with a gentle slope of 1.4% from the waterline to 5 metres depth. Coastal water body. Sandy beach with average seabed slope of 1.4% from the waterline to the 5-metre isobath. Sediment grain size ranges from 0.13 to 2 millimetres. Bathing area extends 2,133 units.

Location

Strongoli, Crotone Province, Calabria Region. The bathing area is situated south of the town centre facing wooded areas. Showers and boardwalks are available at all road access points leading to the sea.

Short-duration pollution events possible due to accidental treatment plant failure or overflow at Strongoli treatment facility.
