Castle Sands is a small sandy beach located directly below St Andrews Castle, broken up by bands of rock extending out to sea. The rocky terrain provides pools for exploring, and an enclosed sea pool allows swimming even at low tide. Access is via a steep slope from above, and no lifeguards are present on site.
