Dankernsee is a 40-hectare inland lake located approximately 3 kilometers west of Haren city center, directly adjacent to the Schloß Dankern holiday resort. The lake features a 3,000-meter sandy beach and offers numerous recreational facilities including water skiing, paddleboats, windsurfing, and diving schools. Access to the lake is free of charge.
