Ķīpsala is an official bathing site on the Daugava River in Riga, Latvia. It is one of 59 officially designated bathing sites in Latvia subject to water quality monitoring and management under EU Directive 2006/7/EK. The site is monitored for microbiological quality, with particular attention to faecal contamination indicators and the risk of cyanobacterial blooms. Water quality is classified on a four-level scale: excellent, good, sufficient, or poor.
