Water quality classification: Excellent. The bathing water is monitored by the Calabria Region, the Municipality, ASP (Public Health Authority), emergency services (118), and Arpacal (Regional Environmental Protection Authority).

Risks

Short-duration pollution events identified from stormwater runoff from urban areas, specifically from the mouth of Vallone S.Antonio. No anomalous situations verified. No cyanobacterial proliferation events recorded in the past 4 years. No macroalgae, phytoplankton, or potentially toxic species proliferation verified.
