Faro S.Vito-Molo is a rocky coastline bathing area located in the Mare Grande water body near Cape S. Vito and Punta Rondinella. The area extends 0.47 square kilometres and has been classified as excellent for bathing water quality from 2017 to 2020. No discharges from wastewater treatment facilities or watercourse outlets reach the sea in this zone, and no short-term pollution events have been recorded over the past four years.

Water Quality

Classification: Excellent (2017–2020). No discharges of urban wastewater treatment effluent reach the sea. No wastewater discharges directly to sea are present. No pollution sources that could convey contaminants to the bathing area have been identified.

Risks

The area is not characterised by cyanobacteria blooms. No cases of potentially toxic algal proliferation have been detected. No short-term pollution events were recorded in the past four years.
