Firule is a partially cultivated beach located in Split, Croatia. The beach features predominantly sandy surface with concrete structures and tree vegetation. It has an indented coastline with a steep coastal slope and a length of 350 metres and width of 25 metres. The beach is situated in a town setting and experiences high bather density during the season.

Adriatic Sea. Average sea temperature during season: 23.43°C. Salinity ranges from minimum 27 to maximum 39.4 during the season. Tide amplitude: 27.1 cm. Underwater coastal slope is mild (less than 15 degrees). Prevailing wind direction: South-East.

Location

Split, Croatia. Beach coordinates: 43.5003°, 16.4535°. Parking is available with a charge. Beach access is via stairs.

Restaurant, café bar, shower, changing room, land sports facilities, parking area, and floating safety lines at beach fronts.

Season

Monitoring conducted year-round with annual assessments from 2009 onwards.

Water Quality

Water quality has been monitored annually since 2009 with 10 samples per year (9 samples in 2009). Assessment periods from 2009–2012 through 2022–2025 each consisted of 40 samples. Water quality classifications include excellent, good, sufficient, and poor categories under EU Directive 2006/7/EC.
