Coastal waters. The bathing area extends 2.002 square kilometres. The water body is fed by Torrente Fiumarella (Fiumarella Stream).

Location

Located in the commune of Crosia, province of Cosenza, Calabria region, in front of the Calopezzati settlement.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. Wastewater treatment is provided by the Crosia treatment plant. No specific monitoring measures are currently active.

Risks

The Fiumarella Stream mouth has been identified as a potential pollution source. Accidental depurator failures and overflow events from the Crosia treatment plant have been recorded.
