Foce Fiume Verdura is a sandy and pebbly beach located on the Sicilian coast in the municipality of Ribera, Agrigento. The beach has a gentle slope and terrain that descends toward the shore. The bathing water is classified as excellent quality.

Water quality classification: Excellent. The drainage basin includes the Verdura hydrographic basin and smaller basins between Verdura and Magazzolo. There is an existing wastewater collection network, though compliance of treatment plants with directive 91/271/CE standards is not documented.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events have been identified, including accidental failure of sewage pressurized pipes. Anomalous situations related to meteorological and marine weather conditions or exceptional events may occur and can trigger temporary bathing prohibition. No cyanobacterial proliferation, macroalgae proliferation, phytoplankton proliferation, or potentially toxic species events have been documented in the previous four years.
