Santa Marinella, Rome, Lazio region. The bathing area is located between the Mignone River and Rio Fiume.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is elevated based on the 95th and 90th percentile parameters. No specific monitoring for pollutant concentration and diffusion is currently active during the bathing season. Two urban treatment plants with capacity greater than 2000 inhabitant-equivalents are active in the reference municipality.

Risks

Shellfish farming is present in the area. A modeling approach to evaluate short-duration pollution events is still under study.
