Location

San Felice Circeo, province of Latina, Lazio region. The bathing water extends from Porto San Felice Circeo to Porto Stendardo.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: good. One active urban wastewater treatment plant serves the reference municipality with capacity exceeding 2,000 population equivalents. Specific monitoring of pollutant concentrations is not currently active during the bathing season. Mollusk farming identified as a pollution source.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events potentially caused by wastewater discharge. An appropriate modelling approach is still under study to identify short-duration pollution sources and their locations.
