Foce Saccione is a sandy beach bathing water located in Chieuti, Puglia, in the Fortore river basin area. The bathing area covers 0.94 square kilometres and is classified as excellent based on water quality assessments from 2017–2020. The primary potential pollution source is the presence of the Saccione Torrent mouth at the western boundary of the bathing area.

Location

Chieuti, Foggia Province, Puglia region. The bathing water is located 30 metres to the right of the Saccione mouth. The water body is identified as Chieuti-Foce Fortore.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017–2020). No direct wastewater discharges to the sea are present. No short-term pollution events were recorded over the past four years. No cyanobacterial or harmful algal blooms have been detected.

Risks

The Saccione Torrent mouth is located at the western boundary of the bathing area and represents a potential point pollution source. No short-term pollution events, anomalous situations, cyanobacterial blooms, or toxic algal proliferation have been identified in recent years.
