Location

Trevignano Romano, Rome Province, Lazio region. The bathing area extends 796 metres along the water body.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: elevated (95th and 90th percentile for reference parameters). The area is in the Arrone Sud hydrographic basin. Currently no active monitoring programmes exist to measure pollutant concentrations during the bathing season. Urban wastewater treatment: zero treatment plants serving populations over 2000 equivalent inhabitants are active in the reference municipality.

Risks

Mollusc farming is present in the area. Short-duration pollution events are still under study with regard to appropriate modelling approaches. No anomalous situations have been verified. No cyanobacterial proliferation events have been recorded in the last four years. No macroalgae or phytoplankton proliferation events have been recorded in the last four years.
