Gradoli, Province of Viterbo, Lazio region. The bathing area extends 924 metres along the shoreline. Altitude: 538 metres above sea level.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: elevated. Monitoring is not currently active for measuring pollutant concentration and limiting diffusion during the bathing season. No urban wastewater treatment plants with capacity greater than 2000 population equivalent are active in the reference municipality. The pollution source identified is related to mussel farming activities.

Risks

Studies are still underway to establish an adequate modelling approach for short-duration pollution events. No cyanobacterial or macroalgal proliferation events have been recorded. No anomalous situations have occurred.
