Furnas Mar is a transitional mesotidal estuary bathing water in the Rio Mira river basin. The site features a sandy beach with 500 m of frontage along the sea and 500 m along the river. During the bathing season, the location experiences average rainfall of 7.9 mm, average air temperature of 21.3 °C, predominant northwest wind direction, and approximately 10 hours of daily sunshine. The site offers good conditions for windsurfing and jet skiing.
