Ingestrand is a bathing beach on Lake Glafsfjorden, approximately 3 kilometres south of Arvika. The beach stretches 150 metres in length with a width varying between 20 and 40 metres, and consists primarily of sand with some gravel and stones at the northern and southern edges. An open grassy area of approximately 7000 square metres adjoins the beach, sloping upward with scattered trees near the shore and a larger tree group further back. The beach is relatively shallow with a sandy bottom. It is bordered by a large pier to the north and a rocky headland to the south, and can attract over 200 swimmers on a fine summer day.
