Risks

There is an emergency/storm overflow from the Gorran Haven pumping station. The overflow discharges to the sea 230m southeast of the Environment Agency monitoring point, through the same outfall as the STW. The operation of the overflow may lead to a temporary drop in water quality at the bathing water.
