The bathing area at Großer Plöner See is located at the southernmost point of the lake, approximately 6 km southeast of the settlement of Dersau. Infrastructure is provided by an adjacent campground. The bathing water has been monitored since at least 2019.

Season

Official monitoring for the 2025 season includes sampling dates: 27 May, 17 June, 8 July, 4 August, and 28 August.

Water Quality

Water quality has been monitored since 2019. Monitoring results and classifications are available for the years 2019–2024. The bathing area is currently open for the 2025 season.
