Hietasalon uimaranta is located on an island near Kuopio, accessible by boat, with a sandy freshwater beach on Lake Kallavesi. The site includes marked outdoor trails, several campfire sites, a large hut, woodsheds with wood supply, a pier for larger boats, and waste management facilities.
