Coastal marine water body. Area extent 1.919 square kilometres. Located within the Birgi hydrographic basin and the Sicily Channel water body.

Location

Marsala, Sicily. The bathing area is adjacent to the Marsala waterfront in an urban peripheral context. Coordinates: 37.8136°N, 12.4575°W to 37.8126°N, 12.4449°W. Beach width approximately 10 metres.

Facilities

No infrastructure or services are available at this bathing area. Animal access is prohibited except in designated equipped areas not communicated by the responsible authority.

Season

Monitoring and assessment conducted through June 2024, with profile review scheduled for 2028.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. The area benefits from a municipal wastewater collection and treatment network with depuration at the municipal treatment plant. No pollution sources have been identified.
