Inselsee Dlrg Station

Germany Lake 3 - Sufficient

Inselsee is an inland lake that originated in the 1970s as a gravel extraction site during construction of the Schiffshebewerk and Elbe-Seiten-Kanal. Established as a bathing lake in 1974 with facilities including a DLRG rescue station, kiosk, and toilets, the lake was reopened for swimming in 2005 after earlier closure. The northern part of the lake is designated for bathing, while the southern shore remains closed for safety reasons. The lake is surrounded by agricultural land and the Elbe-Seiten-Kanal.
