Institute Beach is a small cove near Livermead Sands, backed by red sandstone cliffs, with a mix of sand and pebbles. Access is via steps, and at low tide it is possible to walk or paddle along the coast to neighbouring sands. The beach has an area for fishing from the rocks, though sections may be fenced off at times.
