Plage du Soleil is a bathing beach in the municipality of Vallauris Golfe Juan in the Alpes-Maritimes department of France. The beach is subject to vulnerability profile assessment under European bathing water quality directives. Location

Vallauris Golfe Juan, Alpes-Maritimes (06), France. The bathing zone comprises five designated areas: Poste CRS, Tétou, Barraya, Pascalin, and Jeunes.

Water Quality

Vulnerability profile Type 1. Annual bacteriological quality indicators have been monitored and tracked. Data on shellfish quality and algal proliferation (including Ostreopsis) have been recorded. Wastewater network discharges and treatment plant effluent are identified as potential pollution sources.

Risks

Potential pollution sources include wastewater network malfunctions, wastewater treatment plant discharge, stormwater network overflow, and improper sanitation connections. Algal proliferation (Ostreopsis) and Pelagia noctiluca jellyfish occurrence have been documented.
